Hi!
Does anyone else use ACV water during heatwaves? I know vinegar can be helpful for humans on hot days, but is it helpful for chickens? My girls seem to like it . . .

It seems to be applying electrolye related minerals, deficiencies in those tend to make animals more prone to temperture swings (as does lack of grounding/thyroid issues/ect)

If you've provided shade options, dust baths and/or they can dig holes really chickens are fine. Especially with fresh water that hasn't been sitting out.

Chuck some chicken friendly veggies or whatnot in a tin and fill mostly with water. Toss out a block when it's real hot. Should be more than enough.

Only caution would be if your chickens are/end up excessively stressed. That plus heat is not good.
