Here they are at 5 weeks! Daffodil, Magnolia, and Poppy... they are kinda skittish cuz they have been in the “see no touch” section since two and half weeks and unfortunately I can only see no touch too:rolleyes: But I never fooled with my Cochin babies as they had a mama and they are the friendliest little chickens I’ve got...View attachment 1803448View attachment 1803449View attachment 1803450View attachment 1803451View attachment 1803452View attachment 1803453View attachment 1803454View attachment 1803455
Cute babies, great setup!

Sorry if this is a super dumb question, but I'm brand new and I know a little less than nothing.

Generally speaking, does the term Easter Egger only denote that the hens lay eggs of the pretty pastel colors? Are the eggs variable in size? I was asking an acquaintance who has a few barred rock hens and he said the EE hens lay small eggs- just larger than a quail's egg, but I wanted some more info so I can be more able to make a decision.
Heavens no! All of mine have been my largest egg layers! Here's my last girls egg....

WHOA  that is one gorgeous bird! I just said this on another thread but... Easter Eggers are like a box of chocolates.. you never know what you’re gonna get!! Just when you think you’ve seen every color there is.. another color pattern shows up!!! They are truly remarkable!!!

@Anime2lover ... You need to save this photo for a future BYC contest. I'm sure there will be one that this will fit in...or...look and see if you can find a thread that is for chicken attitude looks. Pretty sure there is one. This is great.
