RIR- Pullet or Cockerel? Pictures!

Hi everyone!

My supposedly RIR pullet(May) has me confused lately. I can't tell if she's a pullet or cockerel. May is about 8 weeks old. She used to very skittish but now she is very brave and friendly. May has not displayed any rooster behavior yet, I'm not sure if she's old enough. Um......her comb is about the same size as the other pullets, but she stands taller than the others. This is my first time raising chickens.....so yeah. Keeping my fingers crossed that she's a pullet!

Phew....she can stay. What do you mean she's not a RIR? Could she be a cross? Not happy with Hardware store at the moment.
 
Looks like a girl and not really a pure RIR, but I am no expert. Hey, its better to have a girl then a RIR roo in the city

Agreed! I don't think I'm going to order from my hardware store again.

They gave us two RIR instead of two BO. I guess it's the hatchery's fault that the other two RIR aren't pure RIR, though.
 
You guys are going to think I'm very stupid......I got May's breed mixed up. She's actually a NHR. I still don't think she's a pure NHR, though. Sorry everyone!
