This is a hatchery salmon faverolle. We named her/him knuckles because he/she has a bent toe. He/she attacks the wisk broom everytime I clean, but is otherwise not showing any signs of aggressive behavior. I have 5 of these, they are 11 weeks old tomorrow, 3 of them have light chests and nice salmon backs. 1 has some black here and there. Then there is this one... is it just a bad hatchery faverolle pullet or am I getting a roo? Here is Knuckles (I took multiple views to be sure):

He looks like my roo Sam, and will get more brown and black with big black whiskers. His 2 sisters have the multi-shades of rust and very small combs. They are the sweetest and most friendly of all my chciks.

Another roo? That makes 4/27 in an order that was supposed to be all pullets (even at 90%, the guarantee, they are getting a bit off the average). I hope he turns out sweet, I was hoping for a Faverolle roo (the other 3 are dark brahmas). Does the black always mean roo on a Salmon faverolle?

If you are interested in learning more about the Faverolles there is an active thread in the breed section. This is George and Martha, a young LF Salmon Faverolle pair. They are from breeder stock and not hatchery.
