which is better for marking hatching eggs.

Sharpie for the non-porus eggs. Otherwise I just use a pencil.

I never know where the crayons in my house have really been.

They say... (And I don't know who says it, but still!)

Sharpie>Crayon>SoftLead Pencil>Hard lead pencil (Like of the colored flavor)>Pen>Your tongue

Just what I heard...

huh?

Sorry, like a math > (greater than) symbol? Sharpie is better than crayon, which is better than a soft lead pencil, etc etc.

every egg I ever marked with a marker and sharpe has failed to hatch.

I mark every egg I gather and every egg I recieve in the mail all with sharpie's.
I have great hatches even with shipped eggs. I think it is just a preference, I can see the sharpie better.

Someone called sharpie and did some sort of test, sharpies apparently are safe, but normal magic markers are bad. That's what I've heard and experienced.

I reccomend the crayon in this situation.
