Blue Quail Eggs?! With Picture

I don't know what determines shell or "splotch" color in Coturnix. Last year, when I mail ordered several different batches of eggs from different vendors, I got all brown/rusty toned in one, one batch came sort of mostly greenish looking background with brown splotches and a few that were distinctly blue, and one had some of both the brownish and greenish ones.

I don't know if its genetic or environmental due to feed, climate, etc.? But its fun to see the different colors. As someone who used to work as a florist, I could see potential for them as craft eggs if dehydrated.

COTURNIX EGGS MAY BE NORMAL KINDA LIGHT TAN WITH OR WITHOUT SPOTS, THEY CAN HAVE A VARYING SHADE OF GREEN, OR BLUE, OR EVEN PURPLE... ALL WITH OR WITHOUT SPOTS... REALLY ALOT OF VARIANCE IN THEM. ITS 1 OF THEIR "COOL" TRAITS
