Anyone use Nutrena Naturewise All Flock? I can't seem to find it in my area. Have been told it is a new product and they can special order it, but no one carries it. Seemed like a good multipurpose food (with added oyster shell for layers).

I use this for my chickens and ducks. It is a small pellet, about 1/3 the size of Layena. Even my silkie chicken has no problem eating these. They are 18% protein. No added calcuim.
I think these are great. After much reading (and differing opinions) I decided that my drakes did not need the extra calcium in a layer ration and I didn't want to use Flock Raiser as I was told it is basically Layer and Starter mixed together with a 20% protein which is very high for ducks. I looked for something I could feed and this is what i found at a small local feed store. They did not carry it at first but ordered it for me and now they always have it in stock. Mine have been on it for about 6 months and are doing well. I've had some ducklings hatched out of my runners. They will be switching to it at 7 weeks.

That's exactly why I was interested in getting it. Find it odd that no one carries it. Guess I will have to have them order it. The feed stores keep telling me flock raiser is a good multi-purpose feed, but I really am not comfortable with that. It is what they are getting now, but really want to change.

We have a local feed store that has been around FOREVER. They carry purina products. I was actually driving to work and saw a new feed store. Looked them up online and saw the brands they carried.
Researched those and decided Nutrena. Only problem is the only nutrena starter is medicated so back to purina for 7 weeks. It is just so much easier to use one feed. Now instead of seperate feeders for everyone I have one that they share.

Finding it quite challenging to feed different feeds to different ducks....one feed would be so much easier!

I tried it but my chickens didn't like it. It smelled like bacon which I really didn't like. I don't know if it was a bad batch or not but I haven't bought it since. I even brought it back to the feed store and they said all the bags had that same smell. Could the feed store have gotten a bad batch and not know it. It was brand new at the time. I've been using Flockraiser since. I don't like having 2 different feeds either. Especially when the Flockraiser is more expensive. I do give it to my ducks and geese. Layer pellets for everyone else.

My chickens like to scoot into the ducks pen in the morning to eat the ducks' Flockraiser and the ducks, likewise, seem to prefer the hens layer pellets. It's funny to watch them all scurry through the adjoining gate to try to get at the other's food (but less funny when I have to try to round them all back into their own pens).

So here's the low down on the Nutrena All Flock - it is designed to be fed to mixed species of poultry so you can feed your ducks, chickens, geese, etc all together without worrying about seperating them and buying different feeds. The only thing to remember is that you need to supplement with free choice oyster shell for your laying hens to make sure they get enough calcium. It's 18% protein and depending on your region it can come in a crumble or pellet form. Should be fed to birds 7 weeks and older.
I am probably biased - but this feed is worth having your store special order! You are probably not the only one in your area who would like to try it!

Had to call another location we have never used and talk with the owner. He gladly agreed to order in all of our feed we prefer for all of the animals. Was so happy he agreed since we feed goats, rabbits, chickens, quail, peafowl, ducks, geese and dogs all Nutrena. It will be 3 weeks before his next truck, so I have to make do with something else until then if anyone runs out. At least I will still have a one stop feed pick up by mid Sept again. Now to figure out how much of the All flock we will need as we switch to it for many of the feathered critters.
