Okay, From things I have read online, after breeding season, the males penis falls off... So when is this exactly going to happen?

What?!?!?!?

My birds never stop breeding, and their penises are firmly attached at all times!

Well there was this one time , I was telling my hubby that ducks had penises, because he asked about if they tried to breed a chicken, and I said they cant it would hurt them. And so we looked it up, and that article says they wastes away at the end of the season, and come back at the beginning.

"A drake’s penis substantially wastes away at the end of one breeding season and then regrows as the next season begins."

It doesn't say what kind of duck she used or how many duck she had. All it says is some were placed in groups of 7 or 8 drakes with less hens, and some were placed in pairs.

ETA: nevermind: Scaup (whatever THAT is!!)

This 'research' seems incomplete and this paper shouldn't have published this poorly written article. Its like the writer didn't even get or check the facts. It leaves more questions then answers for me.
