oxine... anyone used it?

I know, right? it sounds too good to be true. At least if it's not helpful for the chicken I can still use it to sanitize my milk containers!
I read that whole thread.
It can be complicated between activating(toxic, but kills everything[-cide]) and not activating(safe, but only a 'reducer'[-stat] not a full killer).
There are many different uses and thus different mixing ratios....and like any other 'bug killer' it can be overused and create resistance.
Be careful.

Yes. I worked my way through a substantial part of it, but I need to do more reading. I'm planning to dilute and use a cool-mist vaporizer to fog her in a covered crate and see if it helps. I definitely won't activate it. In fact, I didn't get the activator material. I don't need to totally fumigate things, at this point. Hopefully never. and the new coop i'm building would have to be draped in tarps or something if I ever needed to, because it has so much open-hardware-cloth expanses on the upper walls...the fumigant wouldn't stay in long enough to do much good!

and i'm not a big fan of sanitizing everything in sight on a regular basis 'just because' either. This does sound like a good thing to have on hand for specific and limited application. and i'll be less likely to accidentally get bleach 'stains' on me when i'm sanitizing bottles, which is a great bonus.
