dumb question i know..

It's only a male, not a female, but - Chantecler

Since Chanteclers commonly come in Partridge and never in Duckwing, this sport of a barred bird from Partridge breeding is indeed a barred Partridge. The current owner is working on breeding his color by using Partridge females.

I hope I'm not hijacking the thread, but is this a Buff Partridge color or just real "dirty" buff?

He is striking, and does look very crele. But I would be interested in seeing what a female looks like as it should be very different than crele since there should be two secondary patterns going on.

He does look "mock" Crele.

Here is a picture of Cuckoo Partridge Leghorn rooster and a hen and to me they look like a bad Crele,

Those Leghorns are Partridge based not Brown. (those Leghorns are in the U.K.)

Here is the same color on a Orpington,

All birds are U.K. birds not mine.
