I have a 10 month old chicken who has been sick for many months now... she has lost a significant amount of weight, and is on the brink of starvation, it seems... I posted this problem to this forum last week, and someone mentioned it being a possible internal fungal infection. I did some research, and her symptoms matched almost exactly.

I ordered some Oxine because it has apparently been said to cure many different things... I just got it today, and put about 4 drops in a small dish that holds about a cup of water... she drinks and eats constantly; she drank quite a lot when I put the dish in front of her... for some reason, the water seems to run out her nose when she drinks, and sometimes it comes back up her throat.... I have felt her crop many times to see if perhaps there is blockage or sour crop, but I have not felt anything, and food and water seem to pass through it normally. I am guessing the water comes back up because she is so weak?

I'm not entirely sure how much or how often I am to give her Oxine... could you guys recommend some dosages? I would really appreciate it!

Mix 1/8 teaspoon oxine per gallon of water. Fill a spray bottle with the mixture and with a fine mist, spray above her head 3 times a day for 10 days. Here's a link regarding oxine use:

I gave her some mashed apples last night and this morning. I also sprayed a mixture of Oxine and water over her head. She's not drinking a lot this morning... not sure why. Any ideas?
