I will be moving back into Va next month, but have been seeing alot of sellers wont ship to Va. Why is this?
Why do some of the people selling eggs/chicks NOT ship to Virginia?

Va has a state law that your birds must be AI & NPIP plus be clean of a few other thing and you have to prove your birds do on paper work and fax that tothe shippers state vet and they have to fil it out that your flock passes all that and they will send you(shippers) a permit # that has to be on the box to get into Va with out getting fined and all that paper work. It is only for a year.
Some states charge people to get testing done and it can get costly very fast. So they just don't ship to Va and other states that are like them.
