I have 3 of these pretty little things and have no idea what kind of chicken they are.Tthey were listed at our local tracktor supply as Black astrolops in the Heav's bin, but they are clearly not that. They started out yellowish with dark speckels on their heads. they are starting to feather. they are a little flighty also.
I have included pics of one of them. Please let me know what you think. thank you so much.

Hrm... the face and comb is wrong for a Wyandotte (they have adorably messy and splotchy faces).

I would say you have yourself a gold laced sebright chick.

I think the lighting is what makes the color look gold it is really more whiteish silver than gold. Does anyone know if she could be a Lakenvelder(sp)

So I looked up pics of whyndotte chicks and they don't look anything like that...and I don't think they are the other alternative either cause they were in the heavies bin and that kincd of chicken mentioned doedn't lay many eggs. Heavies around hear mean that they lay alot of eggs.
Anyone else have any guesses?

Does anyone have any other thoughts on what these chicks could be. I would really like to figure it out. I only want chickens that at least will produce 4 eggs a week no less.

I need some help with my chickens I was told that 3 were a mix with a silkies. I just got started about 2 weeks ago and I love it. I look forward to coming home and seeing what they are up to. I wish I could have done it years ago.
