Here is how the story begins...
I bought these two girls, believed to be Silver Penciled Plymouth Rock Bantams, at an auction a two weeks ago tomorrow.

When I bought them, they were in with a gorgeous roo that looked like a male SPPRB. I can't have roos, so I gave him to the couple that was bidding against me for the trio.
The day after I brought the girls home, one of them produced an egg. The next day there was another egg. I asked around to see if anyone thought that the eggs may be fertile, and if anyone had an incubator to borrow. I was told it wasn't likely that the eggs would be fertile, and I couldn't find an incubator to borrow and couldn't afford to buy one. So, I decided to just use the eggs.
When I cracked them open I noticed a white spot.

I asked around again, and was told that all eggs have that white spot in them. However, I don't remember seeing a spot like this in all of the other eggs I have used since I have been cooking.
I couldn't stand it anymore, so saved all of the eggs that the two girls laid over the next week. I went and bought an incubator on Monday, and decided to put the eggs in there and just see what happened.
I candled the eggs this morning, and this is what I found after 84 hours in the incubator...
#1

#2 (2 & 3 have a slight speckling on the shell)

#3

#4

#5 (went in only about 60 hours prior)

I really hope my babies survive. I am so excited!
