Very nice pen! Im impressed. If you don't mind me asking, how much did it cost to build? We have been looking for a good plan to make a big flight pen ourselves but the cost has to make sense.
 
well, it wasn't cheap. The treated wood was expensive and we sank all the posts in concrete, plus the fencing around the bottom and 25'x 150' netting from Cutler. I had friends do almost all of the labor. It totaled about $1400+. I didn't want to half-a** it and have something that was falling apart in 4 years. My justification is that it can be turned into a garage or another type of building pretty easily if I ever get tired of quail. I tend to drive old trucks and we don't spend money on vacations and stuff, so splurging on a hobby once every few years is OK with the wife.

by the way, my carpentry buddy said he would build another one if anyone was interested.
 
Lost several quail to raccoons last night, they reached thru the chicken wire and pulled them thru the fencing. Very upsetting, I'm out for blood. Plan on lining the bottom four feet with silt fencing and putting a hot wire above that.
