I have a chick that has been pipped for 2 days I cracked the egg and he is shrink wrapped I am trying to help him out but there is blood I don't think it is from the shell coming off but I am very new to this is it normal for some blood if it has been shrink wrapped do I finish helping Please help It is alive and chirpping alot and apears to want out i am affraid to open all the way is blood in there normal he had his beek sticking out the whole all day but could not zipp

Keep him warm and warm dampened paper towel to keep him moist... keep his beak clear of all water though..... you can use a Q-tip to keep wet where he is cracked but DONT DROWN him, keep away from nostrils....

Thank you Sally Sunshine your video's and post helped me save my little chick It is doing well now at first I thought it was not gonna make it but it was just realy tired. It is walking around now and is chirpping at me so I think it is gonna make it Thank you so much because I had no idea what to do Here is a pic of my little miracel baby It's name is Sunshine after you for all your help. You helped me save my little baby

OMG!!! Named after me??? HOW sweet!! I was just so upset no one responded to help you!! look how pretty!!!!! YAY!!!! I needed help too and didnt get a response so I am making sure before I log off I check unanswered posts, just in case I can send some info along!!! YAY how sweettt if its a roo he will have to be Sunny!!! : ) I have one that just pipped!! and its been in through a staggered hatch in the same bator so I am thrilled!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! come over to the thread and show the rest of us that you did it!!
