My new coop... Fall 2012

Wow! That's Huge! Very nice! More pics please!

Thanks I'll get some more pictures up soon... took me about 5 weeks( most of SEPTEMBER) to build this mostly due to BAD weather off and on.

Cost roughly about $7000 to do.

My wife helped me when she could.

It's 12 wide x 36 long... insulated, hydro, pressure treated exterior, steel roof, three 4x3 windows that open and vinyl floor .

I made a small storage area(6x12) for supplies like bedding and food etc... right inside the man door.

Another screen door opens up into the main coop area. It has three 2x4 perches running the whole length of building. Also three hanging feeders and three heated waterers for winter.

Three waters outside in run area are going to be put away within the month as full time negative temps are only weeks away.

I used around 400' or so of 2x4 welded wire for run so there is room to move and do what chicken do SCRATCH!

I also got smart this time and put in a gate for the hassle free unloading of supplies via truck or tractor.

I put three chicken doors with ramps so there should be no hassles getting in and out.

Now if only the **** chickens would move in they don't want to leave the temp/summer home.... ARGH which is plywood box and a tarp.

Lol It figures they don't want to move in. It's as big as a house! I'd move in!
