You know here is a good time to start information on home cures that people know that they work on Fowl.
I know there are brain washed people out there that think if a Doctor or a Veterinarian did not prescribe it there is no hope.
There will be Illnesses out there that only a Prescription will fix.
But there are some people out there in the world that don't have ready access to Drugs that may be needed.
I have two simple home remedy cures that I want to pass on others need to chime in.
1. Boil down some Tobacco into a dark solution not to thick you cant use a Tea spoon to pour it down a Fowls throat this is good for worms of about any kind repeat 1 tea spoons full down the throat 1 to 2 times a day 2 to 3 days depending on how bad the Infestation is after allowing the bird to swallow hold upside down by feet and allow the bird to cough up the worms if they are throat worms if not do not hold up side down the bird will need to keep the Tobacco in there system and the Nicotine in there blood stream.
2. Corn starch or potato starch is a good blood stop use it dry pack the wound or slightly dampen it first before using holding it to the bleeding wound till the blood stops flowing.
Here are two preventive things you can do to maintain good health.
D.E. diatamais earth food grade place this in there food one time a month and this will prevent the Fowl from getting worms 1 cup to 5 gallon feed bucket and this should be fed out over a 3 to 4 day period you can also dust your birds with this to prevent parasites this will work on all animals.
1 cup of Apple cider vinegar per 5 gallons of water will help maintain good health in your flocks I do this 2 two 3 times a month and for young birds all the time till they are 12 weeks old.
