Hi everyone. My husband, cat, and I live in central Georgia and are about to make the plunge in getting our first biddies. I have wanted backyard pet laying hens for a few years and this year we plan to tackle the challenge. I have been researching what this will involve and am planning to get 4 baby chicks this spring.

I found BYC in magazine and book references, and have been so impressed with the information y'all share and the friendly interactions in the forum. Thank you for allowing us to join the group.
