Thanks so much I hope so too. I will be shocked if anything gets in there now I really dont see how they could. :/
 
A fox attack? That must be awful. I am so sorry. I really think you should go to the vet. Is she or he feeling any better? I really do hope so!

Thanks ya she is perfectly fine now I doubt she will grow feathers back cause her skin is gone but she is back to normal and laying eggs again thanks for your concern God Bless you too

She probably will grow feathers back in time. I had a hen that was terribley pecked, all feathers on her back were gone when I found her. They literally tried to kill her. She was absolutely horrible, but she recovered, and grew her feathers back after a while and was fine until she was finally attatcked in her pen in the night by I don't know what, and it killed her. I was so very sad, she was so sweet and liked for me to carry her around. Yours will probably be back to normal in no time.

:( Ya her skin was totally taken off so I dont think she will grow them back but I dont care she is one of my daughters fav and super gentle doesnt matter to us if she looks a little funny lol

It really does suck to loose a chicken I didnt think it would effect me as bad as it did with my first death. they really do become a part of them fam :)

yes they do, espically when you just have a very small flock, and interact with them everyday. All of ours have names. God Bless, hope she's well soon, just watch her for any sign of infection, and treat it quickly if it does come up.

I am hoping I am past the infection stage its been like a couple weeks now but I still put stuff on it everyday. She is back to laying eggs and resumed her pecking order spot lol she like to pick on everyone but in a gentle back off way
