I've come home to find my goose has laid an egg, I would like her to sit and rear the goslings, and they appear to be building a nest but it is outside of the house I lock them away in on a night, I'm frightened if I don't lock them away a fox will get them through the night but at the same time I don't want to disturb the nest or egg incase she rejects it. any advice or help on what I should do would be greatly appreciated x

You may want to post this is the goose forum under other poultry. I have geese though and I think you will be ok to move the egg. If she does reject it it's fine. She will lay eggs until she gets the clutch she wants.

Thank you, I'm going to try and move the egg to the shed, put extra straw in so hopefully they will make the nest in there, and try re post this. Thanks again :)
