My Rhode Island hen has two bumps on her back. I don't know if they are feathers trying to come in or what. Please help!

Anybody know what it is? Should I cover it with anything? Her back is pretty much bare and raw looking. The rooster has been gone for about a month and we thought there would be some progress with her feather growth.

Looks like two ingrown feathers.

if your that worried nick them with a hygienic surgical knife and apply some antiseptic

the pore is blocked that's why its ingrown

Alcohol th disinfect good rigid tweezer those aren't that bad you should be able to work those out gotta pull slowly and work them out works every time for me and p.s never cut your bird unless tweezer method dosent work

If you work them out they should go back fine if you cut chances are your gonna damage the feather port for life

It's like a ingrown hair on a human feather probably came out like this ^ when it should have come out like this l
