2 week old chicks have small bugs on them, I've only ever seen 1 bug at a time..
We treated them and the mother with mite and lice powder 4 days ago, but after inspection today they are still there?

One chick was really ill this morning but has thankfully recovered..we have covered them in the powder 3 times today and they don't seem to be going?

The chicks live outside in separate pen with the mum but all three of her chick have been taken away as we are thinking that she is infested
The bugs I've seen are clear/ white.. Red.. And black?
Some advice would be great! Thanks :)

I'm not sure what that is but we are covering them in the powder and we have sprayed the whole pen down with the proper stuff.. The mothers brooder is layered with feathers

After discovering the mites we pulled out all tge bedding and the soil flooring, we sprayed the house down, covered the birds

When I don't throw away all the shavings in the nest boxes too they come right back.

The chickens are my friends, other wise they wouldn't have mites.. I never knew about then until now, and we are doing something about it. But at the moment the chicks are my main priority, so we had to remove them from the mother and they are now living inside as they are only 2 weeks old..

if you are using DE it really doesn't stop an infestation

I'd check to see which chemical you are using...with the proper chemical the mites just fall dead immediately.

the chickens in the big pen need a good clean out, none of her chicken are treated badly as they were her dads, but they haven't been cleaned out in a while, the pen is huge tho so its going to take some time. On the powder tube it says that the stuff takes the mites protective coating of causing them to dehydrate and die
