Tips for Taking Care of Your Chicken From Taking Them Home to Adult Hood

1.) Have a proper spot to put them (I put them in a plastic bin)

2.) You need to have a heating lamp

3.) Have shavings in the bin

4.) Make sure you have food/water at all times

5.) Now your ready to put your chicks in the bin

6.) Change the food/water daily

7.) Change the bedding every few days

8.) After 60 or so days they're ready to be put outside in a safe coop
9.) Enjoy your baby chicks

do chicks need to be put under a light inside if they have a mum who hatched them and if so do u have to put the mum and her chicks inside

Unless it's really warm I like to put a light in with mum and babies. That way the little ones have the freedom to eat, drink and play without getting chilled. They don't need to be inside your house, just inside a coop out of the weather.

Usually I buy my chicks at Tractor Supply that's why I said to put them in a plastic bin or something similar but you should usually keep the baby chicks with its mama. Don't mess with Mama Hen's babies
