Today I finished installing the jambs around the doors and windows and built the access door to the coop. I am getting close to finishing and look forward to getting started with the kids in picking out the chicks. This is an 4'X8' interior space coop with a 6'6" high interior at its max to give me room to walk and be able to clean without bumping my head.

Looks great! Do you have any pictures of the inside? Are you going to add a run or just free range your chickens?

I am still trying to finish the exterior before I conquer the interior but there is not much to do really, all I have to do it the rooting bars for the most part. Once I am done I will post some photos of the interior. As for the run, I have a space on the opposite side that is about the same space that will be enclosed for a run and I will be putting a door in the fence to give them access to the fruit tree/compost area as well. I have a very nice backyard and would like to keep it that way so letting them run free will be limited.

Well Today I made a ladder from a birch tree that my neighbor was taking down yesterday and built the roosting bar. I am going to put a Poop board below the roosting bar to keep things a bit cleaner although it may not catch all of it, I needed a bit more room. Next I think that I am going to lay down some linoleum on the floor also to keep it a bit cleaner as well as easy to clean.
