Hi there, I'm a poultry lover who currently just has a tiny backyard flock. We're thinking of adding more chickens over the spring and summer this year, and I'd love to do some turkeys again as well.Looking forward to getting to know folks here.

My current flock is 3 Buff Orpingtons and 1 Rhode Island Red. They were all birds we picked up off of Craigslist a few weeks after Easter last year. I'm torn between adding more post-Easter rehomes this year, or buying some nice heritage breed birds for myself.

and Welcome To BYC! Heritage birds would be a nice addition to the flock, it is nice to be able to pick out the specific breeds you are interested in sometimes. Could always alternate years, one year the Easter rescues, the next year some Heritage birds.
