We just received a shipment of various pullets and a couple of turkey poults. I noticed the second day that one of the turkeys wasn't putting weight on one leg, so when I inspected him I noticed his hock and foot is swollen. I have separated him, put him in an area where his movement is restricted to a smaller area because he will fall over and roll around after trying to stand. The first day he would not eat so I gave him small amount of aspirin, and water with electrolytes. Now he eats and drinks just fine but wont put pressure on the leg. He is not constantly chirping or anything, just eats and sleeps. The only time he makes a noise is when I pick him up to change bedding or he tries to adjust himself and puts pressure on that leg. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!

Welcome to BYC. It could be an injury or a slipped tendon. Slipped tendon can be fixed by putting the tendon back in place, then wrapping with vet wrap, and repeating this until it stays in place. It's not always successful. Does he sit on his hocks or elbows? I would start some poultry vitamins or a B complex tablet in each gallon of water in case of vitamin deficiency. With his foot being swollen, an injury to the leg might be more likely, but here is some info about slipped tendon and ways to try and fix it--scroll down page to slipped tendon in 1st link :

Thank you for the welcome and the reply! I researched the slipped tendon previously and the back of his hock was not flat. A couple of days ago he was up trying to stand and putting some weight on it but I think he pushed it to far. Yesterday and today it is even more swollen than before from his hock to his foot. I also noticed today it looks like his leg is turning in. I am not sure if that is from the swelling or if it is an injury to the femur and healing wrong? Perhaps I should put a brace on it. I am lost at this point. I will get vitamins to put in his water as well.
