Below are my nine Americana mixes. All nine hatched under my broody hen Trudy and were bought from a farm who had a bunch of different hen breeds and an Americana rooster. They all hatched out of brown eggs or different sizes and shades.

Percy (the youngest chick)

Teddy (Really think legs. He looks like my late chicken Mocha. D:)

Darek (Giant comb since about week 2. Almost positive he's a rooster.)

Fred

Ariya (Looks like one of my adult hens, Cinna, but a different colour head)

Scopius A.K.A. Drama Queen

Gizzmo (Had a weird fluid sac under her beak when she was hatched, but it's gone now.)

Johnny (Light orange markings on her wings)

Gizzmo (again)

George

So, what do you guys think?

Yeah, I noticed her comb was fairly big, but I always thought her colouring was usually a female chicken trait, at least in EEs...
I usually sex EEs by color, but these aren't EEs. EEs themselves are mixed breeds and mixing them with another thing makes that less and less reliable the farther away you get. Not saying her color might still not be a dead indicator (though not as likely), but the pictures aren't good enough for me to use that as a factor. She/he looks to have the most EE influence, but so do not look like they were mixed with EEs.

How funny almost all the male named ones are pullets.

Ariya is showing male patterning to me. I understand it seems female but the pattern is likely to change a lot over the few weeks.

Hmm... Okay. Four roosters out of nine isn't that bad. It's just too bad it was Ariya, she's most people's favourite. (I'm personally a fan of friendly little Percy. :))
