I think it is sad when parents name their children after something or someone that they are obsessed about. Just because it is something you are into, does not mean you need to label your children with the burden for life.

Nicholas-was named after Lidstrom of Detroit Red Wings. We'd call him Cole. He was having none of that.

Trena-was going to be Adrianna. It didn't fit. She didn't get a name until the day we left the hospital -so she got the birth certificate lady's name and I have never regretted it. It fits her perfectly.Oh and they have Christmas in their full names too.

Rani, Oh my. Yep, very important to research names. I had list upon list that we narrowed down from but they all were normal names.
 
I love that you have a hockey name baby....
Prentice's initials are partly because of PK Suban from the Montréal Canadiens (his middle name is Carl after my grandpa but spelt with a K because of PK Suban and PCs just not a good set of initials) lol

Me too, we had an easy time naming the kids... The names just popped in our heads a few week before due date both times. Like the name Ferris....not sure if it's over the line or a gooder lol
 
I raise millie fleur Belgian bearded D'uccles, hence my user name ''mymilliefleur''. the ruff translation means ''many flowers'' or '' a thousand flowers''.
