@WthrLady I love "walking the chicken". And you're right, it's not a bad way to spend time. But hard to explain to everyone else that I'm unavailable because I'm chicken-shepherding...
 
Gorgeous dogs. I have two Anatolian shepherds, very similar to yours and never had a problem with the predators at night. I did have a hawk killing my two of my chickens but that's about it. Most of the days I don't even close the coop at night and have nothing to worry about. they killed numerous racoons
