A chunnel!!!

Yesterday a member here informed me of chunnels, so off I trotted to the hardware store this morning and I came up with this! (Be gentle, I am new to chickens and finding my feet!) I hope this is the right kind of idea anyway!

Yes, that's the idea.

One thing about chicken wire, in case you didn't know, is that it will keep chickens in, but is very poor at keeping predators out. I don't think an aerial predator will get through that, but a raccoon could, easily.

If your plan is to contain the chickens and you don't need to worry (too much) about predators, that's a nice chunnel.

I'm in Scotland so we don't have as many predators thankfully! Cats and foxes are the main issue, but they won't have access at night so that rules out the fox. My cat us the only cat we see really and he is terrified of them, poor lump he is!
