Hello! I'm fairly new to BYC and this thread. I looked through several pages from the beginning but realized 332 pages probably wasn't realistic!

I have a chick here from a BLRW rooster over a CCL hen. I thought for sure a pullet until I noticed the white dot. Is this a male or a female?

Been a few days and no one has answered. I do believe the white dot on its head indicates male, since it’s only his mother that has the barring gene, and not his father.

Great thread! In the case of offspring created by crossing Red Pyle OEGB rooster with CCL hen, it is my understanding that this would result in sexlink chicks, correct? Well, I've got two beautiful, TAME and extra snuggly little babies from this pairing but I'm confused...there is no eyeliner, no barring, no dark coloring, no white headspot. They are simply yellow (white). Both hatched from pretty blue eggs. They have me stumped. Sorry for not having a picture at the moment, I'll take some later in the day. Thank you all.
