Chick with lame foot?

This chick had to be rescued after no zipping 24+ hours after pipping. Its wing was stuck to the membrane which is probably why it didn't zip. I noticed one foot seems lame. Any advise?
 
You can make it a little shoe to hold it's toes in the proper position. I've seen people use the thin craft foam cut to the shape of the foot, then tape the toes down how they should be. I'll look for a picture.

We failed miserably in trying to split this chick's curled toes, but the chick seemed to recover anyway.
