Hi all,
My runt hen developed sour crop about three weeks ago. I researched and executed what to do as per suggested on this site, and a few days later she pulled through. After that she had diahrea. It stayed with her for a week, I thought that was OK, she was getting back on her feet. But now two, going into three weeks later, she still has it. She is eating drinking and walking around with the others. Today I checked her for a watery belly and or egg bound, she has a very squishy belly in comparison to the others. But it is not distended to any degree. This morning she was standing in the corner with her tail down, empty crop, and squishy belly. While I will continue to read up on water belly, do any of you have any ideas or suggestions? Her diahrea is very watery and her energy is about 3/4 of what it could be. Thanks!oh, I forgot to mention she hasn't laid an egg since she was sick with sour crop. Could it be that it simply takes a very long time to heal from sour crop?
