Grab a Light Sussex for your next member of your flock. Light Sussex, a hearty breed from Sussex County, England, is a good layer of brown eggs and is known as an excellent source for meat. The breed is medium size and usually weighs 6lbs - 7.5lbs.
COLORS
Roosters and hens have a light pink white skin, colorful plumage with a mahogany base, and white tip feathers bordered by black. Baby chicks are creamy buff to dark chestnut with a chance of alternating dark and light stripes on the back
TEMPERAMENT
Gentle nature, calm, and docile breed. Light Sussex are a wonderful breed to have around children.
