Help to ID the breed of pure bred striped wing chick? Possible Sussex?

Yes of course. I would just like to know so that if I sell or give him away, I am giving the person the correct information. I don't think he's a purebred Light sussex at all from the looks of him but he still could be maybe just from a different line than the ones that I have always bred or received or purchased. I think it will either be more obvious as he grows or the differences will seem to disappear. And I agree, it doesn't hurt to ask.

You may want to send a photo to the breeder. They should be able to tell if he's a true Coronation or not. A reputable breeder is also likely to correct any errors they might have made. It never hurts to ask ... nicely, of course!

I agree and I knew he may have been a Light Sussex instead. However, he now has a clear head tuft (white), smoother dotted feathers underneath, ear muffs and a little beard (which is not so unusual). No feathers on feet. I have no idea about what he is or crossed with! Makes him hard to sell or give away if I can't describe what he is. Please help from any head tuft experts. Reminds me of a punk hair do or mullet.

I would just describe him as a sussex mix (could be coronation sussex mix or light sussex mix). It’s going to be hard to tell what exactly he’s mixed with unless you can get a list of possible parents from his previous owner. The other parent could also be a mix themselves.
