Due to an unfortunate near future change in living arrangements, I must now find new loving home, or homes, for my 5 beautiful young ducks
I am looking for a pet only, freezer camp free home for these beautiful pets, as I can no longer keep them, and cannot take them with me in my new living arrangement.
We are in South-Eastern Pennsylvania, between Valley Forge and Reading.
The ducks available for adoption are as follows:
3 female Welsh Harlequins – “Darla”, “Sweat Pea” and “Baby”. Good layers, all three are from Metzer Farms and were hatched on September 8, 2014. They are beautiful, happy, healthy females – and are very well taken care of.
I would prefer the 3 Welshies were not separated, as they have been together since hatch day and are well bonded together.
1 female Khaki Campbell – “Khaki” – hatched April 2014. Khaki is from TSC, and along with Squirt was one of our first ducks. A good layer, she is also happy, healthy and well behaved. As the alpha female – she is in charge of Squirt.
1 male Pekin – “Squirt” – hatched April 2014. Squirt is also from TSC, is our only male and is BFF’s with Khaki (we got them together). Squirt is a happy, healthy drake who loves to be snuggled at bedtime, plays ‘tag’ in the yard with us humans (he likes to chase you, and then likes to be chased), and watches over the girls when they are in the yard.
I would prefer Squirt and Khaki be homed together, as they too, are well bonded.
Anyone who has kept up with my posts knows that I have gone out of my way to become a knowledgeable, caring duck parent over the last year and a half - and that our ducks are spoiled, well-kept and treated as family (we spent <$100 for ducks, and >$2000 for their custom made barn/pen/pool).
If you would like to adopt some or all of our beautiful Little’s, you will be getting loving ducks that are very familiar with people, not too skittish about being handled, and are in the best of health.
Please private massage me here on BYC, or email me at ‘tddockery2 at hotmail dot com’ with any questions, or if you are looking to add some wonderful ducks to your flock!
Please note, for the safety of our pets, we will NOT ship them – though for the right, loving home, I will drive some distance for delivery. I will request a description and /or pictures of the duck set-up of any potential new home, and preferably you have an established flock to add to.
Thank you for your time!
Dan
