I tried putting woodash in my coop and i used neopitroid powder on my hens and i dropped some in the coop too but when i came at night to check all of the mites i think nother fowl ones were huddled at the door are where i didnt sprinkle the woodash and i used a carton and lit in on fire then...

I found this company the other day and thought I would share the information for those that are unable afford an expensive vet visit. They do fecal floats and have lab services for parasite diagnosis.

I have four hens and added a Easter egger pullet to my flock, from the same breeder the rest of my girls come from, two and a half weeks ago. Four or five days after getting her she had red in her droppings but otherwise seemed OK. I spoke to my "Chicken guy" who thought she may have picked up...
My chickens all seem to have very little - if any - feathers under their wings near their rears. Worried it's some sort of parasite or ... who knows. Just wondering if an infestation of any sort would mean their eggs are bad. They still seem to be laying alright but I'm worried I shouldn't be...
