Hello all!
I know my chick is fairly young to gender accurately, but my understanding is that Wheatons specifically can typically be sexed by 3 weeks. I suspect this little may be a rooster...darker wing feathers than my other 2, and comb developing a bit more pronounced already. I'm new to this...
I know they are young just about 4 weeks but the guessing game is fun so do t come at me! the two with the combs have not changed in two weeks and the one with the slightly pink color in the sides of the hasn’t changed much as well. All had tail feathers fast, and are wild little chickies i love...
I got 10 leghorns from rural king I think the one circled is a rooster. If you had to guess how old are they. I got 6 black sex link and 6 whydot chicks that are 8 weeks old outside with the adult hens. They are very feathered out for how small they are is that normal for them.
I know it is a bit early at age 5 weeks, to tell in appearance. But if ya'll could possibly help me with this POSSIBLE cockrel OE. He/she's personality and stance is very different from the others.
Meet Jasper...If indeed is a roo.

Chick 1 - Buff Orpington...
Is it too early to tell if this is a rooster? It's a 7 week old ameraucana. I was hoping it's not, but it sure is the dominant one of the 6 chicks l got and is larger than the others. Sorry l didn't get a close up of top of head. Very skiddish and wouldn't hold still.
Hi! Im new here. We have 9 chickies, 7 of whom are definitely hens, now laying eggs.
Two of them are Ameracaunas, raised from chicks. One, Lucy, has a very low pea comb and just layed her first egg today! The other, Primrose (Everdeen) started growing a comb about 6-8 weeks ago, it stayed low...
Fairly new to raising my own chickens, I just got this youngin along with two others from a breeder who claims to know his stuff. It’s Suppose to be a hen, but to me, looks more like a young rooster. What do y’all think? Please and Thankyou!
