Before I start I want to say that I mean absolutely no hate to USA type silkies or silkies in general. They are and likely always will be my favorite breed of chicken. I'm just sharing my opinion on USA silkies, as a person from Europe.

Silkie eggs are supposed to be white or cream according to the standard of perfection. My growout pullets just started laying and the eggs look a bit too dark for a silkie to me. What do we think?

This 2 week old chick has 5 toes on one foot and 5 on the other, but on the one foot there seems to be like a 6th toe growing at the tip. There's a nail and everything. I'm guessing that counts as a 6th toe. And I'm guessing that is a fault. What a shame, cause she is a sexlinked pullet :(

Right now I've been learning the USA silkie standards, but I'm in Europe and I wonder if the European standard is different from the American standards.
