I made a post earlier about my 2 goslings arriving from Metzer Farms. Both female, 1 Buff, 1 African.
My Buff is noticeably larger than my African, and I’m wondering why this may be? Don’t get me wrong, they are both big babies!! I just thought they were supposed to be about the same size? Is...
I have a pair of goslings around a week and a half old. One is very large, constantly running around and eating. The other about half its size and seems sluggish and unsteady on its feet in comparison with what seems to me to be a visibly swollen stomach which is hard to the touch. Both are...
Just looking for opinions. The one with smaller head does seem to be on bottom pecking order. I haven’t been able to see if she is laying yet. They are about 8 months old. I thought I could attach a video but guess not. I’ll try to take pictures tomorrow
Due to availability, on April 12th we have 9 chicks coming ( 3 each of Black Ameraucanas, Black Laced Gold Wyandottes, and Cuckoo Marans. Then on April 27th, we‘re getting 3 Buff Brahmas.

Where as silkie bantams are said to be 2-3 pounds. (Size comparison)
I’ve been extremely worried...
My EE chick is about two and a half weeks old and is smaller then my one day old Ameracaunas and I wasn’t sure why this is? The chick is otherwise healthy it just hasn’t grown at the same rate as my other EE’s and I was wondering if there’s anything I can do?
I am hoping some of you may be able to help me with a Silkie question. Basically I started with 3 silkies and a pilkie, 13 weeks old and in the knowledge that 1 was looking like a possible roo. They settled in well, the suspected roo started crowing and everything was fine. (No eggs yet).
Then...
Hi!
I'm currently incubating 12 eggs, some white eggs (from mosaic chickens), some blue eggs (wheaten ameraucana) and some brown eggs (red hen with legbar roo).
The air pockets on the white and blue eggs are growing about the same. On the brown eggs... they're suuuuuper tiny. Is it normal to...
