Yes.

Back in 2010 the first chat thread was created by the name of The Crazy Pullets of BYC a few days later the Crazy Cockerals was started. Anyway, timeskip about a year and about 6000 pages later for the pullets and 2000 for the cockerals, the Pullet's thread got closed due to being reported by someone whom' I won't name. The posts could have been deleted and the thread re-opened but the admins never got around to it. Too busy planning the new BYC format I guess. Anyway, the Crazy Cockerals stayed open, probably because not many people came and decided to join. IMO that was a better time when there were 2 main chat threads instead of all the small individual chat threads. I've got nothing against them, but people leave, personal fights are more lightly to get started, etc....

You may have noticed that I mentioned several thousand more posts then the numbers are now. Well back in late 2010 there was a sort of cleanup because the servers were starting to get overloaded with so many posts. GJF got chosen and overnight 1,000's of pages of posts were deleted so, that explains it.

I'm sure you could, a few people have in the past. Yeah, I'm only part of the cockerals, after all there was one thread created for the guys, and another for the girls so it didn't make much sense to me to join both. Of course both sides crossposted often too.

As for the crazy pullets, well that would be difficult, because it's locked, although I'm sure if PM'ed the mods could do something. It would be about time, too, since that convo is long outdated. And the members who participated don't even come on much anymore.
