I know. There are so many cheating people out there. I feel like we've been cheated with this guy. Okay, first we see a craigslist ad with a bunch of foals for sale. (there are no blue roans or paints) Then, we call and he only has 2 blue roan fillies left. (neither of them were on the craigslist ad) After a week or 2, the guy just has to take them for their coggins( he has been very reluctant to take them and keeps trying to weasel out of it but we were NOT taking one without a coggins). Then, just before he was supposed to take them, he ups and quits taking/returning calls and txts. About a month later, he finally txts my dad. Now, he has 1 paint colt and 1 blue roan filly. What is going on??? He obviously hasn't been telling us something. (AND, he never did take the filly for her coggins test). Now, we went and saw them, I chose the colt. He told us he was taking the colt and filly for a vet check and to get their coggins last Saturday. Sunday and Monday he wasn't taking/returning calls again. My dad called his dad (the horses are at his dad's house) and he said the guy didn't say anything to him about taking them for a vet check and that they haven't left the property. (GRAH!) The dad, who is very nice, took the colt to get checked the day after we called him and the coggins results will be in tomorrow, when we go and get the colt. (We started this arrangement in late September, early October, I NEVA thought it would be mid December before I got my filly, which is now a colt.) Do you see how utterly exasperated I am?!? I swear, if something more happens to delay my getting this colt, I am going to sit down in the middle of my yard and cry my eyes out! (Whew! I really needed to get that offa my chest!
