horsecrazy- Sweet!! I'm planning on adopting one next spring once we get a round pen up:)
Well, after a while these threads get to where you can't edit them anymore, so of course you can join!! But she can't put your name on the first post. No matter, no one looks at it anymore anyways.

Thanks! Yeah, we're in the middle of moving, our round pen is sitting on a trailer. It's entirely made of cedar poles we cut down ourselves.

welp, once we got DD healthy, we think princess has what DD had, DD is having a great come back. we are looking for a new farrier, the one we found (after the one before that quit DX) is not doing the hooves right :/ either to long, to pointed, or just off. i am not able to ride princess till blood tests come back :/ *sigh* i am not having a good time.... oh, on top of that my horse riding trainer moved

I basically go it my own way, I can give you some advice if you like. My dad and I watch RFDTV because they have tons of horse trainer shows, we watch Pat Parelli, Clinton Anderson, Craig Cameron, ...and a bunch of those other ones I can't remember. lol That's a really good channel to watch if you have it. Clinton Anderson is my favorite.

We're having to find a new trimmer too, since we're moving 6 hours away (dur) and our old trimmer was AMAZING, she was great with the horses, especially our colt Duce, she was so patient even when she had to sit out there with him for hours. The guy we used before her was abusive and a jerk, and I do NOT want another one of them. >< We found a guy who is a local trimmer, he's coming out this week sometime..if he hits my horse I will hit HIM. All we need them for is to trim the edges, the bottoms of their feet are so freaking hard it's way better than shoes. I would recommend barefoot to everyone. Cheaper too.

i think my mom might be a member of it *lost count of what her mom is member of horse wise*

depending on whats what, i know that having a older horse you may have to make the chose, even if it means the hard one.

ah

well, from what i understand that the meds kills the virus, but doesnt heal them, that must come naturally, and depending how long she has had it, it could be permant. and i know her, she likes to be ridden, and she cant be train for carts (not the right built :/ )

*shudders at the thought* she is the queen bee, we have another mare that was raised with her, and for the longest time she was a bully, she is getting out of that, somewhat, but still. and i know her, if i only take her out to be brushed, and she sees dd being tacked up, well, Princess is a fitting name for the fact she would have a royal tantrum

Well, MH, I think she would much rather be a pasture buddy than..be put down, if you were considering that (it seemed but I wasn't sure).
