I like dressage best, even though I'm in 8th grade....

Well, I can atleast work at it! I don't have a horse, though we'll be looking to get one pretty soon!

I don't want to get a horse green, as I would probably completley ruin that poor animal. I was thinking taht a horse that knows the basics, has some attitude and is under ten years old would be nice.

I was doing dressage for a year; I really sucked at it.

I wish I could have done it better...

Only reason I'm positive concerning dressy is because I was started by an old-time trainer woman that was about sixty. Longing before each lesson was a must. Yelling was a must, tears were a must. It got really hard for me emotionally so we switched. Woops! One of my hens laid an egg under the porch! Gotta go.

Yes, she is. Just from the way she acts... Her parents probably bought her the mare green, for her to train... *Sighs*

There's a reason 35 is young in the dressage ring!

(For WEG and stuff.

Are you a dressage rider, Hunter/Jumper, Western, etc?

Oh, I have found my people here on BYC!

FINALLY, a person about my age who's willing to admit that they don't want a green horse...

SO many people I know are like, "Yah, ohmygosh, my parents are buying me this super cute two year old baby horse! I get to train her and everything. She'll be a champion jumper, when I'm a famous trainer!" Uh, the horse isn't a shirt, a baby horse is a foal, and you've never cantered, and you think you can handle this? I, for one, admit that I wouldn't be able to train a horse in a million years at this point!

Rant over.

I've truthfully never tried dressage. My old lease horse used to be a pretty successful dressage horse at local shows, though.

Energy is SO a must. I want a horse that'll stop when I signal him/her, but will go when I ask her to...

Zinnia - Ugh, I know, right? They're all... UGH.

x2!

You know, honestly, I'm not that into Dressage. I used to be, Jumping too, but, that was when I was a little 10 year old kid.

I'm more into Western now, its more my "style".

Though I'm a huge jumping fan, I want to improve my Western riding. I think reining would be cool to try.

Yeah, Western is fun.

Yep. I like Western trail riding the best, though.
