Without a word or sound, Bloodwing strode from the trees until he was alongside Scarletstar, looking at her questioningly out of the corner of his eye as he put a comforting wing around her shoulders. With a grim expression, he used a flight feather to wipe the tears from Scarlet's face.

"How?" of all the things Bloodwing had suspected, that was certainly not 'it'. Yet he wasn't demanding, his voice merely a whisper as he glanced towards the silvery pool, its refracted light shining in his eyes.

Suddenly Bloodwing stared at the innocent liquid just mere feet away. Subconsciously he took a step back, there weren't too many chickens in Starclan that he wished to speak to. "What did he say to you?" he muttered, glaring at the pool.
