Hello Everyone,
I am building a ¨Log Cabin¨ Chicken Coop out of the logs that I have harvested off of my property. The chicken coop is 7 ft 5in x 5 ft 5 in x 5 ft 8 in and the run is going to be 10 x 10 x 5 feet 8 in. I plan to put 6 chickens in the new, additional coop. Does anyone know how to notch logs? I spent all day Friday, on the internet trying to find out. What is a good water sealer to use that is safe for use around chickens? What kind of roofing should I use?
Thank you,
TbChiCken

Thank you! I guess I was not looking in the right place, my fault. I do have a plan, but it is not very detailed. I think I will work on a more detailed one.

My Timber Tuff 8in Straight Steel Draw Knife arrived in the mail yesterday and it works great!!!!

Husqvarna is the best, I considered getting the Stihl MS 271 Farm Boss, but I got the Husqvarna 450 Rancher off Amazon, renewed, for a better price. The saw works like a horse when it has a full tank of gas, bar and chain oil, and is correctly tensioned.
