(Gahh, sorry guys. I made a role play and suddenly that was all I could handle. I'll try to reply to this later, I'm going to attempt to not abandon you guys on this. :he)
(I understand but like you told me when I was contemplating joining your roleplay when I am already in four already, you are the like the wind, you can answer hundreds of role play posts a day! I have faith in you! besides you gotta at least come back to help me pull off Nigels epic death! :pop )

Madeleine carefully cradled the baby as she made her way to the warmth of the fire. She was reluctant to give up Sabah at first, having already formed a strange but motherly attatchment to her, but she knew that only Nora had the expertise necessary if they hoped to save her. "Here," she said quietly as she held her out.

Janette immediately reached for the pot of water to do her share of the help, while Ian went to get more blankets from the stash they had found.

Nora seeing how Madeleine didn't want to relinquish the child and she understood, so she shook her head. "Its ok for you to hold her for now if you like, it will help keep her warm, just sit close to the fire." She said with a kind smile as she moved some of the coat that the child was wrapped in so she could put her ear to the girls chest. She wanted to hear and feel this child's heart beat just to be sure and confirm what her pulse told her. Nora then nodded making a mental note of the girls vitals as best she could as she moved up to her face and lifted her eye lids to check her pupil response and then looked into her mouth as well. "Alright we need to warm her up, that is priority number one, second we need to get some fluids in her, a drip would be best but we don't have needles or a solution so we are going old school." She said to the group before pulling Ian and Janette aside to speak quietly to. "Without needles, tubing and solution I can't give her fluids, we can try to drip or syringe water down her throat, but its risky she could aspirate. We need her to come around enough to drink something and preferably eat something. If she doesn't recoup some of the lost energy she will die. She is very weak as it is. Any ideas? I know we have some dehydrated porridge that we could make up for her to eat, but I don't know how to get her to wake up enough to eat it." She said solemnly, she could slowly feed the girl but she needed to be somewhat conscious for that to work.

Madeleine obeyed, moving as close to the fire as she deemed safe. She situated herself comfortably and rebundled the coat when Nora finished.

Janette and Ian listened intently. "Could you try just using a finger, for now, to give her water?"
Ian suggested, rather ignorantly, he was sure. He'd never been around children that young that often, so he was just spouting what came to mind.

Nora looked worriedly back to Sabah then to Janette and Ian. "I will make it work, do all I can but we need to be ready in case this goes south. She is extremely malnourished and dehydrated, plus she is very weak. But I will do my best, do you think I should tell the others and her brother how bad it is so they can prepare mentally for it? It doesn't seem right to lie to them." She said grimly, she never liked to give owners too much hope at her practice when things were bleak. She would always assure them that she would do everything in her power, but when bad case came in she wanted them prepared for the worst.

(@Garjzla Don't know if you want to chime in with Bobo at all, also let me know if you are wanting to do something special or specific with Sabah. And I am going to initiate the beginning of the end for Nigel! )
(Nope, nothing special, just death.)

Bobo looked at them all, trying to keep track of Sabah as others held her. Strangers...He was disgruntled and almost upset by others holding Sabah, because he knew she wouldn't live, he knew this was the end for her. He had held her determinedly in his arms for days, she smelled of death, felt like it. She didn't have her mother, nor did he, and there was no proper replacement. Even if she did live, it didn't seem right. No family besides her brother, living in a wasteland if things didn't improve, was that the life of a human that was worth living?

He sat by the fire, attempting to hear the talking of the others through his silence. He wouldn't take his eyes off of Sabah, he almost felt like a mother himself. And everybody was surrounding her, making him feel uncomfortable.

Ian shrugged. "I'll leave it up to you. You'd know better. I don't think half the group is even aware she's here."

Madeleine listened quietly. She brushed the back of her hand across her eyes, hoping to stop the tears that threatened to pour. It had been fine—she had been fine—but now with a little one here, not much older than her own child she'd left behind, it was becoming too much. She pressed her cheek lightly against Sabah's forehead and closed her eyes as she prayed fervently. An explanation, no matter how small, of how they'd come to be here would be relieving.

Bobo stood and walked over to Madeleine, rather desperate to see his sister.

"Uh, Madeleine?" Bobo questioned to her quietly, "I'd like to...Hold my sister. She is not doing well...Is she?"

Nora nodded and moved over to where the little girl was being held. She saw her brother come over and figured it was for the best. She made up a thin porridge for Sabah and found a small cloth that she soaked in warm water. She then moved over to Sabah and checked her once more, she was at least a little warmer now. She moved then with her rag and the porridge to Bobo. "Your her brother right, Bobo I think I heard. I will be honest with you she isn't doing well, she is so very young to be in this situation. I will do everything I can but you should spend as much time as you can with her, it might actually even help perk her up a bit. I have some porridge for her, and we can drip water from this rag into her mouth, but for those two things to happen we need to get her to wake up a bit more. Do you think you could hold and talk to her a bit, she may respond better to you then to us. Then if she does come to a bit we can try to get her to drink and eat a little." Nora explained to him, hoping he understood it all. She wasn't going to lie to him, but she also was not going to give up on them either.

Nigel crept along in the dark, cold snow as he got closer and closer to the figures he had seen. As he came along to a snow bank he crouched low and peered over to see the figures just ahead. He had been right, they were people but they were dressed all the same and far better given the conditions then their group was. Who were these people? What were they doing out here? They almost seemed to be writing something, or using some sort of device. He wondered if he could get closer without rousing any alarm.

Bobo nodded solemnly in understanding, and gently took Sabah from Madeleine's arms, muttering his apologies as he could tell she was imprinting on his sister a little. Maybe she used to have a child, there weren't many women her age that hadn't started a family.

He cradled Sabah gently in his arms, muttering words in his own language quietly to his sister in a more high-pitched voice suited for talking to infants. He took her little hand in his and kissed it lovingly, tears almost daring to fill his dark eyes. Bobo didn't want to cry, he really didn't, but he had lost everything. He would lose everything. He didn't know if Sabah would understand sorrow, but he didn't want her to see him cry.

As he quietly sang a lullaby that his mother had sung to him when he was young and innocent, Sabah did become more alert to the familiar noise of her family. Her brother would sing to her every night if he ever had the energy after a day of working in the fields, and while she was young she could never forget that well-known tune.

Nora watched Bobo quietly collect his sister and began singing softly to her. She couldn't help the tears that pooled in her eyes, she wasn't sure if the girl would make it and she was happy her brother at least had this time with her if she didn't. When the little girl actually became a little more alert she gently handed the porridge to Bobo hoping she might eat a small amount, she sat down next to him and held onto the warm rag to offer her water in small increments. But the porridge would give her more then just straight water at this point.

Madeleine willingly released the child to her brother. If she had a few hours left, he deserved to have her for every second. Removing her coat, she leaned back on her heels, moving away from now overwhelming heat of the fire.

Janette stepped away from the circle and headed for the outside of the cave. So much sentimentality going around was too much for the small cave and she was in desperate need of fresh air. Spotting Nigel in the distance, she leaned against the freezing rock and watched his figure disappear into the white land.

Nigel moved closer to the people in the distance. They were for sure using some sort of technology, making notes or something. But he had no idea what they were using as he was far out of his element in this department. They were dressed warmly and seemed well outfitted for this terrain, unlike his group. He decided he needed to get back and tall his group what he saw, they needed to know. It could be nothing but he had a sinking feeling in his stomach that something was not right. As he turned to go he panicked when he saw movement just to his right and then everything went dark.
