The man looked to the door like he had been called and reluctantly stood and went into the living room.

Now was Lucas' chance. He tried to pry open the window, eventually he got it open. He climbed in and walked over to Bella.

Now that he was inside, he could hear the three men arguing in the other room. Bella was still out, apparently from a hit to the head, though she looked otherwise unharmed.

Lucas tried to wake her up, but it was no use. He picked her up and carried her out of the window.

The gunshot make Lucas jump, almost dropping Bella. He took her to the car and grabbed the keys off of the unconscious man.

Bella stirred a little, groaning after he had put her in the van. The keys were still in the ignition, the guy hadn't taken them out yet, just turned the van off before you knocked him out.
