Okay, so i have 13 hens. 21 weeks old! they have been some laying eggs for about 4 weeks now. i am now getting on average 7 eggs a day. but the last 3 days i get my usual 7 but on the floor of the coop under the roosting bar is a busted shell-less egg (or Jelly Egg as i used to call it growing up). i have oyster shells in the run and they eat on them often. i give them layer feed. they free range often and are very healthy happy girls. i read about calcium deficiency and would love some recommendations and tips on ensuring they get the calcium they need! also read about defective reproductive systems and i am curious about this as i do believe i have a defective chicken. her name is “Floofy” and she clearly does not have all of her lights on. she is a very sweet little thing i love her but she ran like “zoomies” in circles as a chick and i was told she probably had brain damage or was vitamin deficient so i had to hand feed her for a while. she definitely did not thrive like her brooder mates and was much smaller. sooo… question is. can it be her? idk im just trying to figure out what is happening and how to fix it.
